Faculty of Management and Economics offers three post-graduate study programmes.
Programme: P0412D050011 Finance
The aim of the study is scientific training of students, supported by professional training in a specialized area, aimed at finance. Students extend their theoretical and methodical knowledge in general economics, mathematics and statistics in economics, and foreign language at a highly professional level. In addition, students further acquire the knowledge and skills to solve problems regarding financial decision-making, corporate finance, capital markets, banking and insurance, taxation and international accounting standards. The Doctoral programme specification corresponds with special disciplines aimed at the methodology of research activity including work with information resources.
Programme: P0413D050013 Economics and Management
The aim of the study is scientific training of students, supported by professional training in a relatively widely specialized area of management and economics. Students extend the knowledge acquired in a Master’s programme in the field of general economics, informatics, quantitative methods, and foreign language at a highly professional level. According to their specialization, they attain further professional knowledge in specialized disciplines of management, enterprise economics, production and technology processes rationalization. The Doctoral programme specification corresponds with special disciplines aimed at the methodology of research activity including work with information resources.
Programme: P0488D050003 Industrial Engineering
This study programme provides a scientific education to experts from both academia and industrial companies. The core focus is on applied research and development of new methods and tools enhancing the performance of manufacturing and administrative processes within complex corporate systems. Students extend their knowledge in industrial engineering, logistics concepts, quality management or information technologies.
Programme: P1015D050015 Tourism Economics
The presented study programme aims to prepare students primarily for scientific academic activity. Due to its application to the field of tourism, its second goal is to educate graduates as experts in the extensive sector of tourism, using the application of new research and development methods and tools for increasing the performance and efficiency of, e.g. administrative processes in connection with their integration in complex corporate systems, especially of service or hospitality companies. The goal is also to develop and intensively strengthen the ability to make independent decisions based on critical evaluation of documents and critical discussion using expert evaluation, to also develop and strengthen professional language competences, especially in the English language. The use of mathematical and statistical methods for solving research problems and their application is a matter of course. Emphasis is placed on the ability to independently solve a research task, high-quality processing of presentations and publication of given outputs.
The standard length of study is four years. Study programmes are available in both full and part-time form.
