Jan Kramolis earned his Master’s degree in Marketing from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University (TBU) in Zlín in 2004. In 2022, he was appointed Associate Professor (Habilitation) at the university’s Faculty of Management and Economics.

His research and publications focus primarily on Design Management. He is an active member of scientific committees for several international conferences and a frequent guest lecturer at universities abroad. His work bridges traditional and modern approaches, spanning the AIDA model and 1P marketing theory to Occam’s Razor in visual design, performance marketing, the Veblen effect, and metrics such as mROI and S.M.A.R.T. goals.

A defining element of his career is the integration of academia with the corporate world. Since the late 1990s, he has specialized in the B2B segment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As a consultant, he focuses on marketing strategy and design management. He is the creator of the DVI algorithm (dvi.utb.cz), developed under a national grant from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (2018–2020).
