Sustainable performance starts with working with emotions
8. February 2026Zlín, January 16, 2026 – The Faculty of Management and Economics at TBU in Zlín held a course entitled Managing Emotions in a Performance-Oriented Work Environment, which was part of the faculty’s activities in sustainability and employee well-being.
The workshop responded to the growing demands faced by employees and managers in a performance-, results-, and responsibility-oriented environment. Participants focused primarily on understanding emotional reactions associated with stress, pressure to perform, teamwork, and increased work demands. Attention was also paid to the risks of long-term overload, which can lead to reduced performance, motivation, and well-being at work.
The course also included a practical section in which participants explored ways to strengthen their resilience to emotional pressure from their surroundings, better cope with stress in demanding situations, and find a balance between high performance and long-term sustainability—both personal and professional.
The course encouraged open discussion, sharing experiences from the work environment, and finding realistic ways to take care of one’s own mental well-being without compromising work responsibilities and performance quality. The topic of emotional resilience and sustainable performance is one of the important pillars of the faculty’s long-term sustainability strategy and the development of a quality work environment.
