DIGI Day 2026 – FaME Represented at an Event on Digitalisation in Education

On 30 April 2026, DIGI Day 2026 took place at the Centre for Digitalisation of Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Fénix), focusing on the digital transformation of education at secondary and higher education levels.

From an academic perspective, topics such as the continuity of digital competences between secondary school and university, the use of artificial intelligence tools in teaching, and the preparation of students for an environment in which digital technologies will form a standard part of both academic and professional life were brought to the table.

Vice-Dean for Study Affairs Jana Přílučíková was invited as a guest speaker at the panel discussion entitled “Lightning Talks”. Dr. Kamil Dobeš, head of the Department of Economics at FaME, also attended the discussion. The aim of this format was to share practical experience with the use of digital tools in teaching and to open space for professional debate across secondary and higher education environments. The event brought together inspiring examples from practice and opened space for meaningful dialogue on the digital transformation of education at both secondary and higher education levels.

We are proud that our students also had the opportunity to attend and engage with current trends and opportunities in the field of digital competence development. Their active participation reflects the faculty’s commitment to preparing graduates who are ready to meet the challenges of an increasingly digital world.

Thank you to Ing. Nikola Svirak, Ph.D., Digitalisation Manager at Tomas Bata University, and to all those who contributed to making this event a success.
