FaME ranked second in the Czech Republic in the field of Business and Economics!
26. January 2026The Faculty of Management and Economics of Tomas Bata University in Zlín (FaME UTB) has once again confirmed its strong position among leading Czech institutions. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, FaME ranked second in the Czech Republic in the field of Business and Economics.
This excellent result is the outcome of many years of consistent work in developing high-quality teaching and research in economics and management.
FaME was established on June 27, 1995, and as of January 2026 approximately 1,930 students are enrolled across all levels of study – from bachelor’s programs through follow-up master’s programs to doctoral studies. Teaching and research are carried out by approximately 86 academic staff members, including professors, associate professors, researchers, and lecturers.
It also reflects the close cooperation between the faculty and industry partners, ensuring that education and research at FaME remain relevant, innovative, and internationally competitive. We would like to sincerely thank all members of the FaME community—academic, research, and administrative staff—whose everyday commitment and teamwork made this achievement possible.

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject is an international comparison of universities by individual fields of study, assessing their performance in a global context. It uses 18 performance indicators grouped into five pillars: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry (industry engagement/knowledge transfer).
