Artificial Intelligence as a Challenge to Humanity: Vice-Dean Jana Přílučíková Participated in the One World Festival

These were the core themes of a panel discussion at the One World 2026 International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Uherské Hradiště. Our faculty’s Vice-Dean for Studies, Assoc. Prof. Jana Přílučíková, Ph.D., took part as an invited guest speaker.
The debate followed the screening of the powerful documentary In the Belly of AI. The film approaches the phenomenon of artificial intelligence from an unconventional perspective—looking at it not just through the lens of innovation and technical progress, but primarily through the questions of humanity and its impact on society as a whole.
“For us, artificial intelligence is not merely a technological shift. It is a fundamental social, ethical, and educational challenge that the academic community must actively face. The documentary clearly challenged us to view AI through the lens of human values, and the subsequent debate was carried out in exactly that spirit,” said Associate Professor Přílučíková, describing the atmosphere.
The quality of the entire event was underscored by the extraordinary energy in the room and the active engagement of the audience. The attendees posed inspiring and intentionally sharp questions, sharing highly diverse perspectives and showing a genuine, deep interest in the topic.
We were also pleased by the engagement of our students in the audience; though fewer in number, their thoughtful questions and insights were a key contribution to the discussion.
This kind of open dialogue is precisely what academia should support at all levels. Our faculty is firmly convinced that we must actively reflect on the issues that fundamentally shape the world our students are entering, and bring them into the public sphere. We attach great importance to these conversations.
