15th International Bata Conference for Ph.D. Students and Young Researchers
On 6 and 7 November 2019, the Tomas Bata University in Zlín became a meeting place for young researchers and students of Master and Doctoral programs from various parts of the world. The 15th International Bata Conference for Ph.D. Students and Young Researchers, which was again organized by the Faculty of Management and Economics of Tomas Bata University in Zlín, took place. The main objective of the conference is to enable students of Master and Doctoral programs and young researchers to present the results of their own scientific work. This year there was much more interest than in previous years, which was reflected mainly in the number of papers included in the review procedure, which was exactly 100.
The conference emphasizes the international participation of students of Master and Doctoral programs and young researchers in order to facilitate the establishment of inter-institutional cooperation, which is essential in international research. Based on a new cooperation with the Faculty of Logistics University of Maribor, which together with the Faculty of Logistics and Crisis Management Tomas Bata University in Zlín and the Faculty of Management and Economics Tomas Bata University in Zlín held the 9th International Student Symposium of Logistics and International Business, the number of papers included in the conference proceedings of DOKBAT 2019 will be further increased. As a result of this cooperation, 101 academics, researchers and students met at DOKBAT 2019 in Zlín to present their papers and share knowledge and experience in the fields of management, marketing, finance, economics, business economics, industrial engineering, logistics, public administration and non-profit sector. Participants also had the opportunity to consult their scientific intentions and research with experts from different fields of science and research through individual consultations. The program also included two lectures – “Smart Cities: Mobility, Transport & Logistics” (Prof. Tomaž Kramberger and Dr. Arunas Burinskas) and “Web of Science & Scopus: Use Citation Databases to Foster Your Reasearch” (Mgr. Alena Chodounská and Olga Martinová, National Library of Technology).
